Delete your account
This page permanently deletes your Cosmic Quest cloud account and its data — the same comprehensive pipeline the app uses. Read what it does before you start.
What deletion does
- Deletes your cloud profile tree: entitlements, encrypted backups, wallet, AI conversation history, research profile, connections, donated chart records and their consent grants, memberships, referral codes, and your uploaded files.
- Unlinks your identity from records that must survive (published research content, tax-relevant billing records) — details in the privacy policy.
- Finally deletes your sign-in account itself. Progress is tracked; a retry resumes rather than restarts.
What deletion does not do
- It does not cancel Google Play subscription billing. Cancel in Play subscriptions — ideally before deleting.
- It does not wipe the app's local data on your device. The app keeps working offline; clear local data in the app if you want that too.
- It cannot be undone. Export your data in the app first (Settings → Import/Export) if you want a copy.
Step 1 — Sign in to confirm it's you
For your protection we only delete the account you can actually sign in to, and the sign-in must be recent.

Prefer the app?
The same deletion lives at Account → Danger Zone → Delete account. Anonymous (device-only) accounts can only be deleted from inside the app, since they have no credentials to sign in with here.
Lost access to your account?
Use "Continue with Google" or your email password above — recovering sign-in is the identity proof. If you truly cannot recover access, contact us via the grievance channel listed in the privacy policy; we cannot delete an account on the strength of an email address alone, because that would let anyone delete anyone.
